Step back in time with this superb quality 1746 Mexico City Pillar Dollar, struck under Philip V of Spain. Certified PCGS MS61, this coin is a beautiful example of a classic “Piece of Eight” that once circulated extensively across the Americas.

Obverse: Two globes (Old and New Worlds) framed by the Pillars of Hercules, draped with PLVS VLTRA (“more beyond”), under a crown, with legend VTRAQUE VNUM (“both are one”).

Reverse: Spanish Bourbon arms with denomination, assayer’s initials, mintmark, and king’s name.
