This coin is a rare rate date, reportedly struck in quantities of less than 100.

Only 13 coins were released from the Banco de Venezuela in the 1990s, with a few additional pieces believed to exist.

Population: 9 certified examples, with only one graded higher (MS64) by NGC. PCGS does not currently have any certified examples.

Heritage auctions: sold for $1,320 in April 2019 and another for $1,762 in 2015.

This example is a brilliant lemon-gold coin with a strong strike, a model representation of the type and an essential piece for advanced collectors of Colombian gold.
