This rare 2 Friedrich d’Or was minted in Berlin within the Kingdom of Prussia in 1811. Coins of this type seldom appear in mint state, and this example exhibits magnificent eye appeal for its MS61 grade.

Historically, these gold coins were first struck in 1747 as a trade coin equivalent to 10 silver Prussian thalers. The obverse features Friedrich Wilhelm III, while the reverse displays the Prussian eagle, shield, and a fasces, a classical symbol of authority—similar to that seen on the Mercury dime.

A stunning example for collectors of world gold coins, offering both historical significance and aesthetic appeal.
